³Ô¹ÏÏÖ³¡ Registration Exam

The ³Ô¹ÏÏÖ³¡ registration examination is designed to ensure that all registrants on the ³Ô¹ÏÏÖ³¡ professional register have achieved the threshold standard of knowledge expected of a Registered Sport Rehabilitator.

While the completion of an accredited higher education programme of study affords applicants the opportunity to assimilate and apply the knowledge and skills required by ³Ô¹ÏÏÖ³¡ in the Educational Framework, the registration examination acts as an internationally recognised professional capstone benchmark of quality assurance.

³Ô¹ÏÏÖ³¡ is the UK regulatory body for the profession of Sport Rehabilitation and holds a register accredited by the Professional Standards Authority in Health and Social Care (PSA); the UK’s top medical and healthcare oversight body. The PSA set standards to ensure the highest level of protection for members of the public who are service users. ³Ô¹ÏÏÖ³¡ is also a member of the International Arrangement (IA) in Athletic Training, Therapy and Sport Rehabilitation and must also ensure that its registrants meet these international standards of knowledge and training.

Only graduates from ³Ô¹ÏÏÖ³¡ accredited programmes, and members of a credentialing organisation in the International Arrangement, are eligible to pursue the registration exam and entry to the ³Ô¹ÏÏÖ³¡ register.

UK Applicants for the exam

If you are a final year student on a accredited programme, ³Ô¹ÏÏÖ³¡ will make arrangements with your institution for the arranging the exam. You should direct questions about the timing of your exam to your programme lead.

If you are a UK applicant and have been advised by ³Ô¹ÏÏÖ³¡ then you are required to take the registration exam via admission or readmission to the register then please log into your account and complete the registration exam application form which is available in the applications tab on your member homepage.

International Applicants for the exam

If you are an international applicant, currently registered with one of the following credentialing organisations: Athletic Rehabilitation Therapy Ireland (ARTI), BOC (USA) and Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA), and your application via CGFNS has been approved, then please get in touch via the contact form on this page of the website.
